The Basic Problem

Google Drive distinguishes itself from other cloud storage services by not having an automatic deletion feature for files in the trash. Consequently, if users neglect to manually empty their trash, files—some dating back five years—remain stored indefinitely.

My Solution

To alleviate the need for regular manual maintenance of the trash, I developed an application that streamlines this process. This straightforward yet effective tool can delete up to 10,000 files per day, prioritizing the oldest items first.

Features Include:

• Quickly enable or disable the automatic deletion process;
• Select when to initiate the deletion process;
• Choose to delete all trashed files or only those older than a specified number of days;
• Track the number of files deleted;
• View your trash with two different display options;
• Select between a light or dark theme.
